Best Marvel Cover: January

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #619, cover by Marcos Martin, on sale Jan. 27.

Cool. Also? Ew.

What I like about this cover is the stark constrasts between muted color and heavily saturated red. It emphasizes the emotional impact of the scene, along with the other elements. The logo is prominent but stays incorporated into the arrangement of the design, thanks to the dripping red. Also, the angled title information above the logo is a neat touch to keep things visually interesting. Overall, it's a dynamic cover with a gripping emotional response. Makes you wanna read it, right?
