I:m back! Had a great vacation with lots of sun but also, strangely, lots of rain.
Found this old file when searching for images to post to the blog. Here:s one banner that I did for the Defenders Message Board. Remember message boards? Back in the olden days, people would socially network by posting threads on an interactive web page called a "message board." Good times, good times.
True story-- all I did was edit in some Starbucks coffee cups. The panel just "fits," doesn:t it?
The Defenders was famously known for being a "non-team," which is just a way of saying that it was more or less a version of "Marvel Team-Up" on a larger scale. In this issue, nearly two dozen heroes were invited to be a "Defender for a Day" by way of a kind of reality TV-show, 70s-style. Pictured here from left to right is Paladin, Havok, the Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, Stingray, and Hellstorm. My favorite is Captain Marvel:s reaction-- apparently he was still being portrayed as a Strange Visitor character.
