We've all done it. Drafting our own versions of superhero teams is part and parcel of being a fan. Sometimes it's just our list of favorites, sometimes it's just our list of iconic "must-haves," and sometimes it's just to see what kind of random ideas get thrown together.
That last one's my favorite, and led to this sketch:
Captain America -- because of course, even if it's still Bucky. We need a leader type but also a rookie at the same time.
Human Torch -- because Johnny Storm needs to be a headline-grabbing headliner in the Avengers (and of all the Fantastic Four, he's the only one who hasn't!) He also adds a variety of powers as the elemental of the group.
Blue Marvel -- because he could actually fill the Captain America role as an icon and leader, but also being the reluctant powerhouse and representative of the "old guard." I'm pretty sure most fans don't really know much about him, either.
Power Princess -- because Marvel needs more powerful women and it's about time she was a contender.
Hellcat -- because she's the veteran of this team-up, despite the experience of others, but also she's just plain fun! Can you imagine the interaction with Volstagg?!
Volstagg -- because, man, that would be fun. Plus it gives us a nod to Asgard and to Thor but also makes something new.
The only thing we really don't have is the Iron Man type, with the tech-savvy of someone scientific.
Whoa! This team would kick some serious butt. A good powerhouse. I'd read it!
